Dear Forward Scholars Families,

Forward Scholars has gotten off to a wonderful start this year, and we are so proud of the progress your children are already making toward growth in reading. Their excitement and confidence are growing each week, and your support at home plays a huge role in that success.

We truly appreciate the time you spend reading with your child, especially when they bring home their take-home books. Your efforts—listening to them read, talking about the stories together, and helping them return their book bags—make a meaningful difference. Thank you for partnering with us in building strong reading habits.

As we approach the end of 2025 and head into the fall and winter breaks, we want to encourage families to continue reading at home even when school is not in session. Just a few minutes of reading together each night can keep your child moving forward and help maintain the progress they have worked so hard to make.

Before your child leaves for winter break, please be on the lookout for a special set of books they will bring home. These books are yours to keep, and we hope they bring both joy and practice as your family reads together over the holiday season.

We also want to warmly welcome you into our learning spaces. If you would like to observe your child during a Forward Scholars tutoring session, we encourage you to contact your school’s site coordinator to arrange a visit. We would love to have you join us.
